How do you personalize general astrology reports? They’re too vague. Or am I doing something wrong, and everyone is “supposed to” feel the same things at every New or Full Moon? Do I only pay attention if the Moon is in my sign?
This is an extra astro freebie on how to apply the last New Moon Report to your personal birth or natal chart. If you haven’t read that, you might want to start there first.
A New Moon is a cycle reset and a fresh start in some area of your life. Your personal chart will determine which specific area that might be. For the next month, the light or attention will be shining on that area. Setting goals around those themes for what you’d like to see grow or change in your life is usually how people take advantage of this information.
Though a personal reading or tutorial on understanding the basics would be a wise place to jump in, anyone can start to practice noticing patterns, reading some generalized interpretations of what this might mean, and reflecting on how this may apply to your life.
This supplementary report is intended for those at an upper beginner/intermediate level of astrological knowledge. If you’re newer to astrology and have questions, don’t be too shy to reach out. It’s never too late to learn.
Step One: Cast your birth chart on one of the many free chart generators. Make sure to use your accurate birth time (to the minute). Check your birth certificate. If this is not possible, drop me a line for some troubleshooting tips. You can still practice astrology, but this report below is unlikely to resonate as deeply.
Step Two: Determine what your Rising Sign (Ascendant) is. This is the sign on your chart that is located where West would be if you were looking at a compass.
Step Three: Read the interpretation below based on your Rising Sign rather than your Sun sign. If your Rising Sign is on one of the cusps, you may resonate more with the previous or consecutive entry. If you don’t know what that means, don’t worry about it for now.
Because of the angles made by certain influential planets to this specific moon, I have also included places in life where you might feel limitations or obstacles putting pressure on the illuminated main area; these are areas where it might be a good idea to take things slower. The challenge/inspiration topics hint at areas where change and new approaches are favored to create more overall balance and a higher likelihood of goal attainment.
If the idea of Lion’s Gate or the symbolism of the star Sirius rising speaks to you right now, I have also added a final list of suggested areas where you may feel an inspired desire and motivation for renewal.
If you gave a group of people access to a fully-stocked kitchen, they wouldn’t necessarily all decide to cook the same thing. Similarly, everyone with the same rising sign is not going to experience the exact same events in their life. Accurate prediction comes with a baseline understanding of what you do with your energetic resources, and getting more familiar with your natal chart is a great way to understand that. Take these suggested topics as areas for reflection, or one small step closer to getting to know yourself and your default tendencies.
